Send A Tip
We're always refining what we cover, and we rely on readers to help us fill the gaps.
This site exists because property managers and owners have questions about skylights that don't fit the usual contractor conversations — questions about what type of failure you're looking at, how urgent it really is, what you need to track before the call, and how to talk to the person you hire. If you've found a question we missed, spotted a mistake, or discovered a symptom the planning notes didn't address, we want to hear about it.
The more specific the detail, the more it helps — a timestamp, a pattern, an edge case.
The best tips come from field experience — what you've learned on a roof, in an attic, or watching a problem unfold over time. A detail about timing, a pattern, a seasonal edge case, or a symptom the planning notes missed are what shape this site's evolution. Whether a tip becomes a new section, adds depth to an existing one, or simply informs how we explain something, it is the specificity of what you've actually observed that makes it valuable.
What happens when you write
A tip arrives in our inbox, and someone on the team reviews it against what we've already covered. If it's a new pattern or a question we haven't answered, we add a note to a page or start drafting a new section. If it's a mistake, we fix it and track what led us astray. Replies usually take a week, sometimes longer if we're researching your question.
All tips are private unless you say otherwise. We don't quote readers by name, publish their stories, or share their contact details.
